Current School Indicators that are now a part of our school improvement plan are:
- Professional development for the whole faculty will include assessment of strengths and areas in need of improvement from classroom observations of indicators of effective teaching.
- The school will maintain a central database that includes each student’s test scores, placement information, demographic information, attendance, behavior indicators, and other variables useful to teachers.
- All teachers will differentiate assignments (individualize instruction) in response to individual student performance on pre-tests and other methods of assessment.
- All teachers will systematically report to primary caregivers the student’s mastery of specific standards-based objectives.
- All teachers will develop weekly lesson plans based on aligned units of instruction.
- All teachers will demonstrate in their lesson plans the content knowledge necessary to challenge and motivate students to high levels of learning.
This list of indicators are now goals that the RHS SIP Team has determined will help improve student learning. Each goal has been assigned a SIP Team member, been given a completion deadline date, and a set of previous tasks that need to happen in order to achieve each goal. More about each can be found on the RHS SIP Team website and Google Document.
Each SIP Team Committee Chair then reported on the status of his/her committee.
Following committee updates, the SIP Team reviewed the Conditions for Learning indicators that were assessed by members of the SIP Team and by members of the district’s Leadership Team.
Out of the eighteen conditions for learning, only three were found not yet being met by the RHS SIP Team. The Team has assigned each condition to a Team member will further review the item, determine a deadline completion date and propose a series of tasks that will need to be completed prior to the goal being achieved.

Once determined, the team will review these statements and will vote on whether to submit them to the state or not.
